Horary Astrology Study Group

  • 12 Whareroa Road Raumati South, 5032 New Zealand (map)

I'm totally surprised -  one of the pages on my website that receives the most visitors is an example of a horary chart, 'Where is the Duck?'. I had had the impression that horary astrology is becoming more and more popular, so perhaps I shouldn't be.

Horary uses specific methodology and an astrological map drawn for the moment the question is understood by the astrologer, along with a good symbolic attitude, to reveal an auspicious line of action. And often a succinct answer to a practical question. Will the job application be successful? Am I pregnant? Will moving to Auckland be good for the family? Where is my wallet and will I find it? It's actually really fun to see how apt a situation and its unfolding can be shown in a chart.

Workshops

Starting as a one-off, the students attending the first workshop were so excited by horary we have since continued to meet every two months. So in these now regular bi-monthly workshop we will continue to explore this wonderful and ancient traditional form of astrology. We will be learning new elements of the craft and consolidating some of the techniques and rituals covered so far. These will be grounded through careful study of examples from my and others’ practices and working with questions from the student group.

Keen students completely new to horary are welcome, as are those with previous experience.

3rd Saturday of the month, 10am - 1pm, Raumati South, Kapiti. Cost: $65.

On-Line Tutorials

In between these bi-monthly attendance workshops, I will be facilitating an on-line tutorial (using the Zoom platform) on Thursday evenings (NZT). In these 1.5 hour meetings we will be really working on the practice of horary - a chance to see it working, to learn and reinforce basic principles & techniques, and to get feedback from me and your peers on a chart you are working on. They are open to all - whether you can make the workshops or not. The first one will be held on the 19th September.

3rd Thursday of the month, 7 - 8:30pm NZT, Zoom. Cost $25.
