Sympathies and Antipathies: Understanding Relationship Dynamics

Of all the reasons a client may consult an astrologer, the broad theme of relationships is right up the top of the list. We all need them, can have our greatest joy in them, yet often suffer in them. Our relationships provide the most potent and painful stimuli towards growth consciousness, yet we often can’t break through beyond the repeating patterns, the unmet needs, the miscommunications. As, often, expressions of karmic weaving, they can reveal much to us about the edges of our spiritual work and development.

The birth map offers such perceptive, humbling yet empowering image of relationship themes. In this workshop we will be teasing these out, coming from the premise that once we have keener awareness of our contribution towards relationship dynamics we have more choices, we are less inclined to blame, to suffer, to stay in the hamster wheel. Until we can, our spiritual and psychological growth is limited.

We will be paying particular attention to natal chart features concerning relationship, both obvious, such as Moon, Venus, the 7th house, but also ones more overlooked, such as the 4th house. And we will explore the tantalising complexities of chart comparisons (synastry) and the composite horoscope.

I hope to create a confidential, safe and supportive space in which attendees will be able to share their own relationship stories as living and powerful examples that we can all learn from. Homework and engagement with your fellow-students between workshops will be encouraged, specifically in an extra student-only meet-up in the middle of the course.

Prerequisites: You will need to have some understanding of basic astrology - ie. Sign, Planet and House meanings. There will be a limit of 10 students.

Classes take place on Zoom, from 7-9pm NZ local time, fortnightly on Thursdays. Cost: NZ$270. Click here if you would like to reserve your place.
